Hale Ku'ike is a residential memory care facility in Honolulu, Hawaii that offers a caring and supportive environment for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia related illnesses.
Our goal is simple: to help change the way we care for those with memory impairments in Hawaii by serving as a model memory care residence. With extensive local healthcare experience and a commitment to excellence, Hale Kū'ike strives to be on a par with the finest in the nation. The meaning of "Kū'ike" is to understand.

2016 Session

The Office of Senator Russell E. Ruderman, 2nd District - Puna, Kaʻu
Coordinate legislative affairs including research, drafting, and monitoring active bills.
Advise and counsel Senator and staff on legislative topics including: prescriptive authority, vaccinations, long-term care and hospice.

2013-2014

Manage logistics across 6 islands and facilitate 23 statewide community meetings of the Native Hawaiian Education Council (NHEC) in the development of a federally mandated education needs assessment.
Conduct a comprehensive community needs assessment of Hawaii’s largest public affordable housing project, Kuhio Park Terrace (KPT).

2009-2013

Conduct literature reviews, needs analysis evaluations, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Facilitated focus groups and client interviews.
Develop and lead professional development workshops with underserved populations throughout Hawai‘i and the Pacific region. Topics include bullying prevention, education policy and health literacy.
Coordinate proposal development teams in federal, state, and foundation grant applications. Investigate funding opportunities, wrote and reviewed proposals

2007-2009

Establish research protocols. Collect, compiled and critical analyze data.
Conduct internet and library research and synthesize results.
Write and proofread research reports. Present results at professional conferences.
